Sam Adams is currently a Lead Instructor for Insight Fire Training, teaching with Insight since 2022. He has earned his Level 1 Thermography certification and teaches multiple classes across the country and even abroad. Sam currently holds the rank of Fire Captain with the Kern County Fire Department in California. He has been a firefighter since 2003, and a company officer for several years. Sam is an instructor in his department in topics such as Pumping, Driver/Operator, TIC training, hose and nozzles, and live fire, but is most proud of the decade plus he’s spent on the department’s peer support team. He has a passion for learning and training, and is always looking for ways to help out his department. Sam lives in North Idaho with his wife of 14+ years, Tara, and their 2 boys, Samuel and Anson.
