We have received numerous requests on information about this device. Despite our best efforts of reaching out to this company and even being involved in their start-up fundraising efforts, we have not been given any information on the device. We test and evaluate all thermal imaging devices but have not been given an opportunity to test and evaluate this device. We can only share what was published and shared online.
We have ave been following this product since 2018. They have released an official field assessment from the US Department of Homeland Security.
Please read this carefully and note the following:
The ability to withstand extreme environments was not assessed as it was deemed a performance testing requirement, which will be handled by the performer as part of later certification testing. Additionally, requirements related to integration with a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) mask were no longer relevant due to a design change.
Activities were conducted in simulated smoke (theatrical) and heaters.
