Welcome to Insight Training LLC’s Fire Academy Curriculum! This program focuses o enhancing firefighter strategies, tactics, and understanding of the fire environment through a thorough understanding of heat and its effects through the eyes of an infrared/thermal imaging camera. This curriculum is internationally recognized, credentialed by Infrared Training Center, and in use across the globe.
This program can be matriculated into any fire academy program in one of the following three ways:
Live Webinar on Introduction to Thermography: This four hour webinar is recommended to be phased into their training after fire dynamics and P.P.E as they will have a more solid understanding of these concepts. An Insight Training LLC Level I Thermography Certified Instructor will provide a live customized webinar that covers the key concepts of thermal imaging to provide a foundational understanding.
Live Classroom hybrid Introduction to Thermography: This 6-hour course includes the previous classroom/lecture portion but is immediately followed by a 2-hour Fire Behavior demonstration with the Max Fire Box. The concepts that are explained in the classroom are then demonstrated for the student to fully comprehend right before them in a live fire setting that does not require PPE.
Full Matriculation: The program would include one of the previous mentioned trainings followed by a customized inserts of the thermography curriculum. This is a completely customized program. Insight Training LLC will conduct a full assessment of the current curriculum and provide curriculum inserts for each portion of the fire academy where applicable. Through this methodology, each portion of the fire academy training would have one page inserts with objective based examples of how thermal imaging would apply and be used by firefighters.
Insight Training LLC will provide all course curriculum (in PDF or electronic format). The host organization can choose any of the three options for a seamless transition of this educational format into their current process. All PowerPoint Presentations and videos shall be provided and used in an agreement between Insight Training LLC and the host organization and shall not be used outside of this agreement. The materials shared within this agreement are trademarked and copyright protected.
Associated costs and fees:
Option 1: The overall cost is per student and starts at $60 per student with a minimum enrollment of 20 students. The host organization shall provide 90 days written notice for Insight Training LLC to provide the materials. A 50% deposit shall be paid upon the inception of the program and the balance shall be paid at the completion of the training.
Option 2: The overall cost is per student at starts at $70 per student with a minimum of 20 student enrollment. The host organization shall provide 90 days written notice for Insight Training LLC to provide the materials. A 50% deposit shall be paid upon the inception of the program and the balance shall be paid at the completion of the training.
Option 3 Full Matriculation: The overall cost is $80 per student with a minimum of 30 student enrollment. The host organization shall provide 120 days written notice for Insight Training LLC upon receipt of the required materials. Insight Training will conduct a full assessment/analysis of the host organizations lesson plans and PowerPoint Presentations. Upon completion of this assessment, education inserts for the presentations, lesson plans, and additional educational criteria shall be provided to the host organization 60 days prior to the start of their next academy. This option requires a one-time $1000 signing fee and a 50% deposit of the total student enrollment shall be paid upon the inception of the program and the balance shall be paid at the completion of the training.
Insight Training LLC shall provide all contracts to the host organization upon receipt of agreement to provide services. Insight Training LLC has a cadre of Level I Thermography Certified across the US available to provide services in the event one instructor is not available. There is no other fire thermography based training organization in the world that currently provides the level of training, education, and credentialed curriculum than Insight Training LLC.
