Tactical Thermal Imaging 4-hour Max Fire Box Training Midland Fire Department NC 4/13/2026

Insight Fire Training is excited to offer the following program to RCCC. Insight Fire Training will provide the following 4-hour thermal imaging training program for up to 40 students. Instructor Tim Mills will lead this class hosted by RCCC at Midland Fire Department NC on 4/13/2026 from 8:30-12:30pm. The training will consist of the following:

Classroom lecture: A 2.5 hour classroom Powerpoint Presentation will cover the following concepts:

• Understanding heat transfer from three perspectives: the victim, the property, and the firefighter.
• The Rule of Twos: Two types of thermograph, The two types of thermal imaging cameras, two main ways thermal imaging cameras operate.
• A general overview of the two main types of fire service thermal imaging cameras.
• 10 TIPS for Thermal Imaging Success

A copy of the presentation shall be shared with the students via QR code.

This lecture is then followed by MaxFire Box demonstration.
