Two Day Thermal Imaging Lecture Series at Guilford Technical Community College NC
We are excited to announce a new program offering!
Insight Training will provide two full days of classroom presentations for Guilford Technical Community College on Tactical Thermal Imaging and Thermal Imaging & Tactical Thermal Imaging for The Company Officer on December 10h and December 11th for 8 hours for each session.
Day 1 will consist of an 8-hour lecture on Tactical Thermal Imaging by Instructor Andy Starnes. Students will be provided an in-depth lecture on the following topics:
• The power of heat
• Types of thermography vs types of thermal imaging cameras in use and their specific context.
• Examples of various models of fire service TICs.
• The Ten Tips for Thermal Imaging Success
• Fire Service Application Examples.
Day 2 will consist of an 8-hour lecture on Tactical Thermal Imaging for The Company Officer by Instructor John Lightly. Lead Instructor John Lightly serves as a Battalion Chief within his department and has extensive fireground experience. He will share his knowledge and lessons learned in implementing thermal imaging from the Commanding Officer perspective.
Students will be provided an in-depth lecture focusing on the responsibilities and tasks of the company officer regarding size-up, crew direction, proper thermal data interpretation and more.
